While President Donald Trump never gained great traction in Connecticut in the general election of 2016, there are a few Republican-heavy areas in the state. This means that a quick campaign stop in CT could be prudent for the party, if not for the President. Currently, Trump is not polling well in the liberal state, though he is not expected to face any serious competition on the GOP primary odds boards in CT.
Online sportsbooks are already offering betting odds for the 2020 Democratic primary election. Some of the top Democratic candidates listed are Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, and Bernie Sanders, though outsiders like Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard have made a splash, as well. That said, the state is likely to go to a more established career politician.

State Election
In 2016, Hillary Clinton handily beat Donald Trump, taking the state with 54.57% of the vote compared against Trump’s 40.93%. This was not a surprise, and Trump didn’t campaign much in the heavily blue state. Whether the incumbent will spend time and money in CT for 2020 is currently unknown.
