Trump’s Odds To Win Improve As Hurricane Milton Approaches

As Florida braces for the impact of a second major Hurricane in less than a month’s time, both 2024 Presidential candidates appear poised to pounce upon this natural disaster and exploit it for political gains.

“I’ve had storms under both President Trump and President Biden, and I’ve worked well with both of them. She’s the first one who’s trying to politicize the storm, and she’s doing that just because of her campaign. She’s trying to get some type of an edge…”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

Hurricane Milton now rests in the Gulf of Mexico and is a category 5 with sustained winds of 155 miles per hour. The eye is expected to pass just south of Tampa Bay, delivering devastating category 4 level winds as it makes landfall tomorrow morning around 2 AM.

Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Estate is safely outside the cone of anxiety for Hurricane Milton, but the region should experience significant rainfall and wind gusts north of 58 MPH.

Milton is expected to be reduced to a category 1 hurricane upon entry into the Atlantic Ocean. Trump was forced to cancel an event in Miami that was supposed to happen tonight and has rescheduled it for October 18th.

The reason is that they are currently paying out bets made on Trump dollar for dollar, whereas you’ll have to risk more than you can win if you wager at any other book.

These Presidential odds have been in constant flux since Harris became the DNC’s official nominee, and we expect that to continue into the evening of November 5th.

We advise being patient and shopping the betting lines before committing to the odds posted at a given book. As you can see by the lines above, an even money bet can be made for both Harris and Trump if you look around first.
