Trump Picks J.D. Vance As His Vice President For 2024

Donald Trump has officially named his vice president pick, J. D. Vance, a 39-year-old Senator from Ohio.

Vance, a relatively new political figure, was first elected to the state Senate in 2022 and sworn into office in 2023. He is a former US Marine who served in the Iraq War before graduating from Ohio State and Yale University. To top it off, he also is an esteemed writer known for his bestselling book Hillbilly Elegy.

Vance’s selection was challenging. He emerged victorious in a tough competition, beating out other popular Republican candidates, including Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Tim Scott, who were rumored to be on Trump’s shortlist of vice presidential picks. He was immediately thrown into the heat of a vice-presidential debate by Kamala Harris, who was once named Trump’s running mate.

President Biden’s performance in the first debate has sparked intense scrutiny, with many questioning his suitability for the role based on his debate. The upcoming Democratic convention, scheduled for Aug. 19th, is eagerly awaited as the party will officially name its candidate for the 2024 election.

With the November election looming, odds for presidential candidates, props, and futures are plentiful from online political sportsbooks. Below, we will discuss some ways to bet on the 2024 Presidential election.

Can You Bet On Politics From The USA?

Yes, but domestic sportsbooks are often restricted and do not offer political odds. Therefore, most political betting from the USA is conducted through offshore sports betting sites operating legally.

Since there are no federal laws making online sports betting illegal, Americans are free to choose where to place their online bets. Only a handful of states have elected to ban or block offshore sites, but a general rule of thumb is that if you can access the site, you can bet on sports or politics.
