With the CO primary over, you can find general election odds listed for the 2020 US House, Senate, or state elections in Colorado. Colorado held its primaries on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, and the state will hold its general elections and Presidential elections on November 3, 2020.
2020 was significant for Colorado as it marked a change in the way the state conducts its Presidential candidate nomination process, moving from a traditional caucus system to a statewide popular vote. Lately, several states have been shifting away from caucuses to popular votes, though they retain the authority to change back to their caucus models in the future.

Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in Colorado by a margin of about five points (48.16% to 43.25%). However, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson (whose running mate was current Trump challenger Bill Weld), took 5.18% of the vote. Traditionally, analysts view the Libertarian party as closer to the Republican than the Democratic side of the aisle, so without Johnson siphoning off votes from the main candidates, it’s not inconceivable that Trump could have won Colorado.
However, third part candidates historically do well in CO, and 2020 should prove more of the same, with Libertarian and/or Green Party challengers splitting the vote and affecting the race’s outcome.
The 2020 Democratic primary went more or less as expected, with socialist Bernie Sanders taking the progressive-leaning state fairly easily.
In Colorado, the Republican primary odds heavily favored the incumbent, President Donald Trump. And, naturally, he won easily, taking 92.5% of the vote.
The 2020 Presidential election is still in the distance, but sportsbooks are already releasing odds for the November’s general election. While many things can change over the next several months, it will be important to watch the candidates as they make their ways across America on the campaign trail. As the front-runners are established, you will see odds posted for remaining primary states at several top political betting sites.
